The Audi Q7 has been on the market for nearly a decade, but in its last 10 year of existence, it has only been facelifted. Back in 2009, the full-size luxury crossover received a mid-cycle refresh, which helped to bring it all the way up to the present day. For the 2016 model year, however, the first-generation styling of the Q7 will become a thing of the past, and will be replaced by the all-new second-generation Audi Q7.

The automaker has said that the Audi Q7 will set a new standard in automotive excellence, and with a new exterior design and an interior that is packed full of luxurious details and technological innovations, it’s clear to see exactly how true their statement is. The release of the 2016 Audi Q7 isn’t won’t arrive until early next year, but as the SUV was recently unveiled, we know just about the specs and features that it will contain.

2016 Audi Q7 Interior Features

As of right now, Audi is holding back on all of the powertrain information, but we do know about what the interior and exterior will consist of. Inside there will be a great deal of rich woods and modern aluminum trim that will lend a great deal to the superior level of craftsmanship found within the crossover. There will also be Valcona leather seating that will complement all of the details, helping to increase overall luxury.

Much like previous versions of the Q7, the interior will be spacious as ever, giving you plenty of flexibility when it comes to seating and storage. We still aren’t sure what the cargo capacity of the next-gen SUV will be, but we do know that it will carry over the seven seats that helped make the first one so appealing.

Seeing as we are still about a year off from seeing the redesigned Audi Q7 on the road, we still aren’t sure what it will all contain technology-wise, but the automaker has left a few hints. For example, we know that it will take on a new multimedia interface system, which will respond to the voice and touch of the driver, making it easy for the person behind the wheel to provide their input and customize their experience.
